We assist with registration and maintenance of the NPI (National Provider Identifier) for the Type I (individual) and the Type II (organization). Although the provider NPI was initially required for Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and claims, all commercial health insurance companies now use the NPI (individual) as their provider number.
